Welcome to the AOHC’s Education and Development Team information and resources page.

The goal of the AOHC Education and Development Team (EDT) is to improve Quality of Care through strengthening knowledge, skills, best practices and capacity building. The intention of EDT is to be a hub for education and development to our member organisations and provide Boards, Management, Providers and staff members access to different training and program learning session workshops, and updated, relevant practical resources.

Based on the activities of EDT, his website is divided into five major sections:
Training – This section highlights the activities of the EDT – Training section. This includes training for new staff, Program Learning Groups, workshops and relevant tools and resources.

Centre Development – This section highlights of activities of EDT in providing information,, tools, resources and support for new and emerging members.

Clinical Management Systems (CMS) – This section highlights the activities of EDT with focused on the support of the members on in Electronic Client Record (ECR) Adoption plan to full ECR.

Emergency Planning & Preparedness Response (EPPR) - This section highlights the EDT activities supporting and providing the update tool, information, communication and education to manage the current Human Swine Flu and be prepared for future emergencies and disasters.

Online Forum – This section is a premium source for DMCs to exchange information, network and is also a resource depository.

With the exception of the Online Forum, all the other sections have four subsections:
Upcoming events – This subsection is shows the schedule of the planned events. For example in the Training section events such as Programme Learning Groups and New DMC training will be listed here.

Resources – Resources such as manuals, toolkits, checklists and updated information are in this section. For example the ECR Adoption Roadmap and Checklist be found here under the CMS folder.

Presentations – PowerPoint presentations that were used during particular training or PLGs, training or facilitation sessions are located here. For example the DMC PLG hosted by the AOHC in February 2009 folder will have all the relevant presentations.

Photos – Photographs of each event will be stored in a folder describing the event. For example ED PLG Nov 04 2009 will have photos of that event.
